What we believe

We believe that the God of Abraham, of Moses and the prophets, of his Son Jesus Christ and his apostles – that this God made the world, and now his Spirit speaks through the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments, which are his message to everyone.  And the core of the message is that the creation of the Father, ruined by human rebellion and sin, is restored by the death of the Son of God, and is now in the process of being recreated by the grace of the Holy Spirit into a kingdom of God – a whole, new, perfect set up that will be finished when Jesus returns in person.  People need to recognise their need, and accept Jesus as Saviour and Lord, in order to be fully saved members of this growing kingdom.  But this “salvation” into the kingdom and a relationship with God is entirely the gift of God to people who don’t deserve it!  It’s all a matter of grace.
